Mt. Fuji & Shizuoka

Japan's Sacred Peak

The icon that defines a nation

Mt. Fuji (3,776m) is Japan's highest peak and its most recognizable symbol. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has inspired artists, poets, and pilgrims for centuries. The perfectly symmetrical volcanic cone dominates the skyline from dozens of vantage points across the Kanto and Chubu regions.

The surrounding Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures are rich in natural beauty — the Five Lakes (Fuji Five Lakes) region offers stunning reflections of the mountain, while Hakone combines hot springs, art museums, and volcanic landscapes into one unforgettable day trip.

Tea lovers will find paradise in Shizuoka's rolling green plantations, which produce over 40% of Japan's green tea. The region also offers excellent hiking, cycling, and traditional ryokan stays.

Best Time to Visit

Clear views: winter (December–February). Climbing season: July–September. Cherry blossoms around Fuji's lakes: mid-April. Each season paints a different masterpiece.

Getting There

2 hours from Tokyo by car or bus to the Five Lakes area. Shinkansen to Shizuoka takes just 1 hour. We coordinate transfers and multi-stop itineraries.
